The Aroma of Christ

As I sat this morning, Bible in hand, enjoying the sweetness of my Lord Jesus throughout the garden He has created in my heart, a gentle cool breeze wafted its way through our living room window bringing with it a bouquet of wonderful smells from nature. As I delighted in these scents, Christ's Spirit immediately reminded me of something I had written a few years back. These smells, which God has created, are meant to be praises to His glory leading us to worship His Son. And that is precisely what they did for me at that moment!

New Issue of CREATOR — on birds

We are so thankful to our Lord Jesus Christ for providing us the opportunity to present to you this newest issue of CREATOR.

A Confession

Who am I before the Lord? I am nothing! And who am I compared to others? All that has been accomplished in and through me has been accomplished by Christ's Spirit! If I hope to be useful to God I must walk before Him simultaneously as His grateful son and slave. Am I willing to so debase myself before God and men? My flesh wars against this desire (Romans 7). But O Lord, I so want to be as David before You (1 Samuel 16); please make it so.

Dying to Self, Living for Christ

"When my flesh yearns for some prohibited thing, I must die. When called to do something I don't want to do, I must die. When I wish to be selfish and serve no one, I must die. When shattered by hardships that I despise, I must die. When wanting to cling to wrongs done against me, I must die. When enticed by allurements of the world, I must die. When wishing to keep besetting sins secret, I must die. When wants that are borderline needs are left unmet, I must die. When dreams that are good seem shoved aside, I must die.

Is Your Heart a Garden?

While explaining the parable of the soils, Jesus says of the gracious heart, "And the one on whom seed was sown on the good soil, this is the man who hears the word and understands it; who indeed bears fruit and brings forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty” (Matthew 13:23).
